The Lost Gems is one of the smallest machines on Live22: three reels of three rows on white, with sandstone pyramids in the background and a temple colonnade behind the reels. The badge in the top-right corner of the frame reads TREASURES & GEM. It has no line tabs, because it does not use lines.
27 ways on a 3 x 3 grid
A win is three matching symbols on reels 1, 2 and 3 in any row. The first symbol can be top, middle or bottom, and so can the second and third, which makes 27 paths. On screen the game boxes each winning symbol in a coloured frame and writes the amount on the first one.
This is why the win boxes look odd. In one capture the ankhs sit bottom-left, top-middle and middle-right, and that crooked set counts.
What the screenshots show paying
All at a total bet of 100:
- Green ankh: one way marked 60. The spin paid 280 in total, because several ankh and pyramid combinations landed together.
- Golden pyramid: marked 80, spin total 80.
- Golden scarab with spread wings: marked 80, and 160 in total with a second scarab way.
The old page said the double BAR is the top base-game symbol, worth 200. No BAR win was captured, so that is unconfirmed. The reels also carry a single BAR, a red BAR BAR and a winged blue 7.
BONUS and JACKPOT symbols
Two special tiles appear on the hero screen. BONUS is a gold panel with small Egyptian figures, and it lands on reel 1 (twice in one spin in that shot). JACKPOT shows a Cleopatra-style face over gold lettering, on reel 2. The captures do not show what either one starts. Above the reels, the GRAND, MAJOR, MINOR and MINI meters show the pools.
Pace and stake
With only 27 ways and five main symbols, the game hits often and pays small multiples of the stake. The captures run at 100 a spin, and the balance moves between about 1,550 and 1,630 across them. Use the minus button on TOTAL BET to go lower before your first spin.

At a total bet of 100, one ankh way was marked 60. Pyramid and scarab ways were each marked 80.
Why does a win jump between rows?
The game pays ways rather than lines. Any symbol on reel 1 connects to a matching symbol anywhere on reel 2 and then reel 3, which gives 3 x 3 x 3 = 27 possible paths.
