Fortune Tree (Play8oy): what the GOLD SYMBOL box does to the paytable
Fortune Tree has two stake boxes, GOLD SYMBOL and PLAY. The paytable shows why: gold animals pay up to ten times more than plain ones. How to read it.

Fortune Tree is a 243-ways Play8oy slot with red lanterns on either side, "ALL WAYS" on the reel posts, and a glowing money tree at the top centre. Its bottom panel has something the other Play8oy slots do not: a GOLD SYMBOL stake box next to PLAY.
Two stake boxes
The panel reads GOLD SYMBOL, PLAY, TOTAL PLAY, WIN and SPIN. With GOLD SYMBOL at 128 and PLAY at 1, TOTAL PLAY is 128. With GOLD SYMBOL at 48 and PLAY at 1, it is 48. So the total is GOLD SYMBOL times PLAY.
The two screens also look different. At 128 the hero is full of gold dragons, gold tigers, gold phoenixes and gold horses. At 48 most of those are plain green or grey versions, and gold monkeys do the work.
The paytable: gold versus plain
For five, four and three of a kind:

Below those: the gold monkey at 88, 15, 10; A, K, Q and J at 15, 10, 5; and a red 8 at 8, 3, 2. A green jade coin pays total bet x 50 for three or more consecutive from the left, per the part of the rules visible at the bottom.
That table is why GOLD SYMBOL matters. A plain dragon line is worth a tenth of a gold one.
Animal jackpots
Above the reels, four small meters are labelled DRAGON, PHOENIX, TIGER and HORSE, separate from the GRAND to MINI bar in the top strip. How they are won is not shown.
Stake
Wins are counted in points, not ringgit. Try a low GOLD SYMBOL setting first, then compare how often gold animals land at a higher one.

Troubleshooting and questions
What is the GOLD SYMBOL box in Fortune Tree?
A second stake control. At GOLD SYMBOL 128 the hero screen is full of gold animals; at 48 the reels show mostly plain ones. The rules page was not fully captured, but the pattern suggests a higher setting turns more animal symbols gold.
How much more do gold symbols pay?
Five gold dragons pay 300 against 30 for five plain dragons. Gold phoenix 180, gold tiger 125 and gold horse 100, against 30 for each plain version.
