Golden Tour (3Win8): the five-line golf slot that pays both ways

Golden Tour is a golf slot with a very small line count: five paylines on a 5x3 grid. It makes up for it with a rule stated at the bottom of the paytable: all lines pay either from left to right or from right to left.

The course and the reels

The reels sit on a fairway with palm leaves to the right and a golfer mid-swing top left. The wooden Golden Tour sign hangs over the middle of the frame. Line numbers sit in coloured circles on both sides (4, 2, 1, 3, 5 from top to bottom), matching the line colours: yellow, blue, green, pink and red.

Paytable, symbol by symbol

Values are multiplied by the bet per line.

Every symbol pays from two of a kind, so even a pair at the end of a line returns something.

The Wild rule is narrower than usual. The paytable says the yellow balls "can substitute" for the blue ball and/or the orange ball, and that a Wild combination can pay both ways on the same payline. It does not list the other symbols, so do not count on the Wild to finish a cart or flag line.

Gopher, duck and fish: the free games

The scatter panel shows three animals: a gopher, a mallard duck and a fish. Three or more of them landing on reels 1, 2 and 3, or on reels 3, 4 and 5, trigger the free games. The screenshots stop before the free games start, so the number of games and any multiplier are not shown here.

Two flags from the right

Here the bet is 0.01 per line, 0.05 a spin. Two red flags sitting on reels 4 and 5 paid on line 2 from the right-hand side, 0.02, which is exactly the two-of-a-kind value of 2. On a left-to-right-only slot that line would have paid nothing.

With only five lines, a spin at 0.01 costs 0.05, so a RM10 test gives you 200 spins to see how often the animals turn up.
