Nian Nian You Yu is a Chinese New Year slot with warm red reels, a temple roof along the top edge and fireworks glowing at the sides. It is a small 9-line game, which makes it one of the easier screens in the ACE333 lobby to read.
Around the reels
Three jackpot bars sit at the top: MAJOR, RANDOM (about 34,988) and MINOR. Under them the gold logo 年年有余 carries the romanised name NIAN NIAN YOU YU. To its right a red PROGRESSIVE JACKPOT ticker scrolls across with a figure of about 34,535.
On the far left is a gold Dollar Ball badge with ENABLE under it. Blue tabs down both sides are numbered 1 to 9 in the order 4, 6, 2, 8, 1, 9, 3, 7, 5, so line 1 is the middle row.
The symbols
The picture tiles are New Year food and decorations:

- Bamboo basket of steamed buns
- Plate of dumplings with dipping sauce
- Red lantern, firecracker string and red packets
- Basket of mandarin oranges
- Plum blossom branch and a 福 (fu) diamond
The SCATTER tile is the gold 年年有余 phrase on dark blue with the word SCATTER beneath it. In the hero capture three of them are visible on reels 2 and 3 while the last two reels are still spinning.
No wild tile appears in any capture, and there is no paytable screen, so what the scatters pay or trigger is not shown.
Bet panel and pacing
CURRENT BALANCE, LINES, BET, WIN, AUTO START and SPIN run along the bottom. Every capture is at 1 line, BET 0.01, and the balance only moves by a sen at a time between 26.51 and 26.55.
With only 9 lines, playing all of them at the smallest bet still keeps the stake small (around 0.09 a spin if BET is counted per line), and it is a sensible way to see how often the scatters land. Leave Dollar Ball off until you know what it adds to the stake.

What does Nian Nian You Yu mean?
It is the New Year greeting 年年有余, 'surplus every year'. The phrase is written in gold on the SCATTER tile and in the logo above the reels.
What is Dollar Ball?
A small gold badge marked Dollar Ball with an ENABLE label sits in the top-left corner. On Playtech games it is an optional side lottery that adds a little to each spin when switched on. The screenshots do not show its draw screen, so check the rules before enabling it.
