Legacy of the Wild is a fantasy slot on LPE88 that plays in portrait: a candle-lit wizard's study, a heavy wooden table, a stack of old books, and the grid in the top half of the screen. It has no ordinary reel spin after a win. Instead, winning symbols explode and new ones fall in, and the game builds everything around that.
The intro screen
The start screen lays out three features:
- WAVE-O-METER: "5+ Consecutive Wave wins trigger Free Games!"
- COLLAPSING REELS: "Wins explode and trigger a new Wave of symbols!"
- BOOK OF WILDS FEATURE: "Wild symbols spread to more adjacent positions every Wave!" The diagram shows one WILD page growing into a plus shape.
A green START button closes it, and a tick box stops it appearing next time.
How a spin plays out
The grid is five columns by four rows. After a win, the paying symbols blow up and the gaps fill from above. That refill is one Wave. In the captures, one spin paid RM0.08, then the next Wave paid RM0.03. The WIN box added them to RM0.11, and the balance went from RM35.75 to RM35.86 on a RM0.40 stake.
While the grid refills, it briefly goes black with only the new symbols dropping in, so a blank grid mid-spin is normal.
The Book of Wilds
When a WILD lands it looks like a parchment page. Each following Wave, it spreads to the adjacent positions, so a single wild can grow into a cross of five. That is what makes long chains possible: more wilds each Wave, more chances of the next win.
The Wave-O-Meter
A column of glass balls runs down the left of the grid. Each consecutive Wave lights one from the bottom. The bottom four are plain, and the six above carry numbers: 8, 10, 15, 20, 30 and 50. The fifth ball, the first numbered one, is where free games start, which suggests the numbers are free-game counts: 8 for a five-Wave chain, rising to 50 for ten. The captures do not show the free games themselves, so treat that as a reading of the meter, not a rule. In the RM0.11 spin two balls lit, then the chain ended.
The symbols
Character portraits (a red-hooded girl, a bearded wizard in an orange hat, a purple-haired young mage, a green orc and a blue sorcerer) plus five rune stones: a red cross, a green orb, a blue compass, a purple knot and an orange ring.
Controls and pacing
Along the bottom: a coin button on the left for bet settings, the round HOLD FOR AUTOPLAY button in the middle, a TURBO switch on the right, then LINES 40, LINE BET RM0.01, TOTAL BET RM0.40 and YOUR BALANCE. A cascading game pays in bursts, so a run of blanks is normal. Give it enough spins at RM0.40 to see a five-wave chain before you judge it.

Troubleshooting and questions
What is a Wave?
Each time symbols in a win explode, new symbols fall in to fill the gaps. That new drop is a Wave. If it forms another win, it collapses again, so one paid spin can produce several wins in a row.
How many Waves do I need for free games?
The intro screen says 5 or more consecutive Wave wins trigger free games. The meter on the left lights one ball per Wave; the fifth to tenth balls are marked 8, 10, 15, 20, 30 and 50, which look like free-game counts.
