Zhao Cai Tong Zi (招財童子) is a Chinese New Year slot drawn in yellow, red and gold, with the title in gold characters at the top that switches to the words Zhao Cai Tong Zi in some shots. Red couplet banners hang on both sides of the reels. Nine lines, and every tile is something you would see at a reunion dinner or a shop opening.

The fortune children

Three round portrait tiles, each a chubby, smiling child:

  • Girl in pink, hugging a gold ingot.
  • Boy in blue, holding a big carp.
  • Girl in green, with her hair in buns, on a green disc.

A fourth round tile is the logo disc, green, printed 招財童子 and Zhao Cai Tong Zi. It looks like the special symbol of the set, but no rules screen was captured.

Lucky objects

  • Lion dance head, white with a red and blue face.
  • Purple lantern with 福 (fortune) on it.
  • Red money bag tied with gold, also marked 福.
  • Pineapple with 旺 (prosper) on a red tag, a pun on "ong lai".
  • Red packets with gold coins.
  • Firecracker bundle with a 福 knot.
  • Three old coins bound with red ribbon.

The panel

Orange buttons on a red strip: INFO, LINES and LINE BET each with minus and plus, WIN above TOTAL BET, BET MAX, AUTO PLAY and a large green SPIN with TURBO MODE tucked under it. The message line reads CLICK SPIN TO START, then GOOD LUCK as SPIN becomes STOP.

Troubleshooting and questions

What does Zhao Cai Tong Zi mean?

招財童子 is 'the child who brings in wealth', a lucky figure of Chinese New Year art. The game shows three such children, each on a coloured round tile.

What do the red banners on each side say?

They are a New Year couplet. The left reads 喜氣洋洋伴福來 (joy everywhere, with good fortune arriving), the right 財源滾滾隨春到 (wealth rolling in with the spring).
