Dolphin (Play8oy): shark wilds, a chest bonus and the reef paytable

Dolphin is a 9-line undersea slot with cartoon reef animals on glowing blue tiles, a purple dolphin as the top symbol and a grinning shark that works as the wild. It is one of the simpler games in the Play8oy lobby, and a good one to learn the bet panel on.

On the reels

Coloured shell-shaped tabs down the sides number the nine lines. Besides the dolphin you will see a clownfish, an orange octopus, a seahorse, a green sea turtle, a pufferfish and a gold coin with a fish stamped on it. Two special tiles break the pattern: the shark labelled WILD and a treasure chest labelled BONUS.

Wilds in the base game

Sharks can land next to each other, as in the hero shot where two sit side by side on reels 2 and 3 of the middle row. A wild pair next to a dolphin or clownfish is where the base game pays properly. In that same shot, two BONUS chests showed on reels 1 and 4 but the WIN box stayed at 0.

Keeping it steady

At 9 lines PLAY 2 is 18 a spin. Coin and pufferfish lines come up often and return a fraction of that. Decide on a number of spins, watch SCORE rather than the WIN box, and stop when you hit it.
