Grand Blue on Play8oy: the Great Blue ocean slot, played at 100 points a spin

The old page called it Grand Blue, but the game on the screen is Great Blue: pale blue water, bubbles, an orca wild and a pearl-shell scatter. Play8oy uses the same five-box panel as Joker123, so it looks almost identical to the Joker123 Great Blue page. The difference in these captures is the stake.

The paytable

Each symbol has a normal pay and a WILD pay, which is double because the orca doubles all wins it joins. For five, four and three:

• Shark and turtle: 750, 125, 25 (1500 with the wild)
• Yellow striped fish: 400, 100, 20
• Seahorse and starfish: 250, 75, 15
• A and K: 150, 50, 10
• Q, J, 10 and 9: 100, 25, 5

The orca pays 10000 for five and substitutes for everything except the scatter. The pearl shell scatter pays 500, 20, 5 or 2 and leads to "up to 33 free spins, up to x15 multiplier".

A line win, worked through

Line 21 starts at the bottom of reel 1 and climbs to the top row: 10, 10, 10, 10, with a J on reel 5. Four 10s pay 25 per credit. At PLAY 4 that is 25 x 4 = 100, exactly the stake for the spin. A pearl shell also sits on reel 1 but alone it pays nothing.

PLAY 4 is 100 a spin

With 25 lines, PLAY 4 costs 100 points each spin, about one per cent of the 9,771 SCORE shown. That is a big step up from PLAY 1 at 25. Since this game's value sits in the orca and the free spins, a lower stake buys four times as many chances at them. SCORE is points, not ringgit.
