Golden Island (Joker123): reading the pirate paytable, symbol by symbol

Golden Island puts its reels on the deck of a pirate ship: wooden rails in front, rigging and a blue sky with palm-covered islands behind. Two red posts either side of the reels are stamped "20 LINES". The symbols are loot and crew, and the paytable is the useful part of this game, so that is what this page lays out.
The eleven symbols
Instead of card letters, the low end is made of treasure: a gold chalice with a green gem, a gold ring with a purple stone, a brass compass, a pile of gold coins and a red jewel chest spilling pearls. The higher symbols are a blue-and-gold teapot, a bearded pirate in a blue bandana, a woman pirate in a red hat, and a skull wearing a pirate hat on a purple tile. The sailing ship on a blue sky tile carries the word SCATTER.
The paytable, top to bottom
For five, four, three and two:

- Bearded pirate and teapot: 750, 100, 30, 5
- Jewel chest and gold chalice: 150, 40, 5
- Ring, compass and gold coins: 100, 25, 5

The top four symbols pay on two of a kind, the treasure symbols need three. The help text says wins pay from left to right on the line chart, and the bottom of the screen draws all 20 line shapes.
The ship
Next to the ship symbol the paytable reads "Substitute for all Symbols", so on this game the scatter also acts as the wild. That is unusual, and it is why a single ship on reel 2 or 3 can finish a line.
The middle of the help screen also shows a feature where reels fill with a single symbol and a row of items is turned into a "mystery" symbol. The wording is too small to read on these screenshots, so treat it as a feature that exists rather than one explained here.
Bet and a short session
At PLAY 0.01 the game costs 0.20 GP a spin. The screenshots show small base wins of 0.05 and 0.10, mostly from chalices and rings. A 100-spin block is 20 GP at that stake, which is a fair way to see the ship turn up a few times.
