The Mythical Unicorn (Live22): fairies, flowers and the golden-to-silver wild rule

The Mythical Unicorn is one of Live22's prettier machines: a purple night forest, glowing lilies along the bottom, a hanging lantern at each side and silver scrollwork around the reels. The logo tile, "The Mythical Unicorn" in white script on pink, turns up as a symbol on the reels as well.

The wild rule on the message strip

Under the reels a thin strip cycles through tips. On the hero screen it reads "GOLDEN WILD AWARDS SILVER WILD(S)." So the game has two kinds of wild: a golden one that, when it lands, adds silver wilds elsewhere on the reels. Two line wins

Both at a total bet of 40:

• Line 6 wins 18. The path starts on a fairy on reel 1, runs through the red-haired fairy on reel 2 and the silver unicorn on reel 3, and the 18 is printed on the unicorn. The unicorn standing in for a fairy is what you would expect of a wild. The spin paid 66 in total.
• Line 10 wins 5. Three blue flowers in a V shape across reels 1 to 3. The spin totalled 15.

The strip names the line and the amount each time, so you do not need to trace the gold line yourself.

Stake and pacing

At 40 a spin, small flower wins of 5 come often and the fairy lines carry the session. The wild feature is where the bigger totals come from. Set a spin count, keep FAST off, and see how often a golden wild appears before raising the stake.
