Highway Kings (ACE333): the classic nine-line version, and how it differs from Pro

The original nine-line Highway Kings, not the Pro edition. What the screen and keys look like on ACE333, what the symbols are, and why a session here is so steady.

Highway Kings on ACE333 is the original Playtech truck slot: five reels, nine lines, and no bonus stage. If you have played Highway Kings Pro on Rollex11, this is the older, simpler machine it grew from.

What the ACE333 build looks like

It is dressed like a physical cabinet: silver frame, chunky grey keys, and a blue side panel reading "5 REEL MULTILINE VIDEOSLOTS, PLAY 1 TO 9 COINS". The yellow "HIGHWAY KINGS" logo has a green semi truck parked beside it. At the top left is a "Dollar Ball ENABLE" button, and a red PROGRESSIVE JACKPOT ticker scrolls across (around 34,216 to 34,221 during these spins).

Line tabs 1 to 9 sit on both sides in pastel colours. The ACE333 MAJOR, RANDOM and MINOR meters run across the top, and the lobby exit is an orange CLOSE button.

The symbols

Everything comes from a truck stop:

  • Trucks in green, yellow and blue
  • A red jerry can and a blue oil can
  • Red fuzzy dice
  • A gold steering wheel
  • A tyre, a piston and a spark plug
  • The Highway Kings logo
Two trucks, three steering wheels and fuzzy dice on a 1-line 0.01 spin

The trucks are the top pays in the Playtech original. The small parts (dice, piston, spark plug) pay least.

How it differs from Highway Kings Pro

The Pro edition keeps nine lines but, going by its own help screen on Rollex11, adds a trucker wild, a cowgirl scatter, a Truck Racing Bonus triggered on reels 1 and 5, and lines that pay in both directions. None of that is here. What you get is nine lines, a paytable and the Dollar Ball side button. The old ACE333 page also said the game has no multipliers, free spins or bonus rounds, and the screenshots agree.

Keys and a short session

Bottom row: Lines - and +, Bet - and +, AUTOPLAY, PLAY. Credit and Win boxes sit just below the reels. The first capture shows the maximum layout (9 lines, bet 0.90). The rest run on 1 line at 0.01, and the reels stop left to right while PLAY turns into a red STOP.

With no feature to wait for, Highway Kings is about as steady as a slot gets: 27.45 to 27.43 over eight spins, with one 0.02 win. On one line only the middle row counts, so if you want the game to pay at all, spread the stake over all nine lines at the lowest coin.

Other lobbies run it too: 3Win8 Highway Kings and LPE88 Highway Kings. The ACE333 overview lists the rest, and you can get an ACE333 game ID to play.

Troubleshooting and questions

Does this version have free spins?

No free-spin or bonus screen appears in any capture, and the Playtech original is known as a straight line game. The Pro edition is the one with a wild, scatter and racing bonus.

Why does the top right say CLOSE instead of BACK?

This older Playtech-style build uses a CLOSE button to return to the lobby. It does the same job as BACK in the newer ACE333 games.
