The feature in this 20-line wild west slot is two expanding wilds that lock and walk across the reels. Here is what the rules screen says and how it plays.

The logo on this game reads Heart of the Frontier, not "Heat", and it is Playtech's wild west slot built around two gunslinging women. Its whole design turns on one feature: two wild symbols that grow to fill a reel and then walk across the screen. The rules card that opens before the first spin says it plainly, so start there.

What the rules card says

Two portraits frame a parchment panel. On the left, the Bandit: red hair, black coat, rifle. On the right, the Sheriff: dark hair, revolver raised. The text in between reads, in capitals, that the Bandit and Sheriff wild symbols expand to fill the entire reel, then lock to the reels and move on every spin. A second line says they are locked in place and duel at high noon in Showdown Free Games. A red PLAY button takes you to the reels.

The reels

The frame is a weathered wooden saloon front with FRONTIER lettered in red at the top. Low symbols are oversized playing cards, 9 and 10 of spades and diamonds, with J, Q, K and A cards tucked under poker chips. The pictures are a horseshoe, a sheriff's star, and three more women of the frontier who arrive as tall stacks covering a whole reel: a Native American woman with a feathered fan, a blonde cowgirl in a green skirt, and a saloon singer in a red dress.

A regular line win

The cards pay most of the time. In one spin here, 10 of spades filled so much of the screen that the game flashed 5 OF A KIND, and several lines paid together. The next frame traces them in green, with one line tagged RM0.10 and the WIN bar reading RM0.52 on a RM0.20 spin.

Pacing the wait for the wilds

LINES reads 20 in these screenshots and the line bet was RM0.01, so every spin cost RM0.20. The balance ran RM50.03, 49.83, 49.63, 49.43, then back to 49.95 after the RM0.52 hit. That is the rhythm to expect between features: small losses, the occasional card win. The moving wilds are what make the game, so give a session enough spins at a small stake for them to show up rather than raising the bet to chase them.

The LPE88 overview lists the rest of the lobby; for a different kind of moving-wild feature, see Legacy of the Wild. To try it, ask for an LPE88 game ID.

Troubleshooting and questions

Is it Heat or Heart of the Frontier?

The logo on the reels reads Heart of the Frontier, the Playtech title. The old page called it Heat of the Frontier; the page address still uses that spelling.

What do the moving wilds do?

The rules card says the Bandit and Sheriff wilds expand to fill the whole reel, then lock to the reels and move on every spin. In Showdown Free Games both are locked in place and duel.
