Reel Classic 3 (Mega888): reading the three-reel paytable

Reel Classic 3 is the one to open if you want the old pub fruit machine feel: a gold arched cabinet on a red velvet wall, three reels, one payline and a paytable printed on the glass. Nothing on the glass points to a bonus round or free games; the printed table is the whole game.

The cabinet

The top glass carries the paytable. Below it, the reel window has a vertical PAYLINE tag on the left and a PLAY 1 TO 3 COINS panel on the right, with the coins you have inserted shown in red digits. Two red counters sit under the reels: CREDIT and WIN. At the very bottom left of the screen is CURRENT BALANCE, and a menu icon sits in the top right corner.

Neighbouring cabinets are cut off at the edges of the screen, purely decoration.

The paytable, line by line

Payouts are in coins, for 1 / 2 / 3 coins bet:

Two things stand out. A single cherry anywhere on the line pays, which is what keeps small wins trickling in. And the gold chip row is the only one that is not a straight multiple: the third coin lifts it from 2000 to 5000 instead of 3000.

Coin value versus number of coins

There are two separate dials. The minus and plus beside the small box on the left change the value of one coin (0.25 in most of our screenshots, 1 in the first). BET ONE, BET TWO and BET MAX then pick how many coins go in.

In the screenshots the player ran 0.25 coins at one coin a spin, and you can watch CREDIT fall by exactly 0.25 each time: 100.56, 100.31, 100.06, 99.81.

A sensible way to play it

Since only the gold chip line gives extra for the third coin, the choice is simple. If you care about the 5000 top line, drop the coin value and press BET MAX. If you just want long, cheap sessions, one coin at the lowest value stretches a small RM balance furthest.
