Sea Captain (Mega888): what changes between a 1-line and a 25-line bet

Mega888 carries the same Sea Captain as the 918Kiss lobby: captain, octopus, lighthouse, crabs and a tangle of fishing gear on five reels. The eight screenshots from the old page are useful for one thing in particular. They flip between the smallest and a much bigger bet, so you can see exactly what the line setting does.

25 lines at 1.00

In the hero shot the top reads "25 Lines selected" with BET at 1.00, and every numbered tab down both sides is lit in its own colour. BET here is the total for the spin; the small text on the right confirms "0.04 Bet per line", and 25 times 0.04 is 1.00. Any match of three or more along any of those lines counts.

1 line at 0.01

Drop LINES to 1 and the picture changes. Every tab goes dark except the two marked 1, one on each side at middle-row height. BET falls to 0.01. Only the centre row of the grid can pay now.

This is where 1-line play gets frustrating. In one spin three octopus tiles are stacked on reel 2 and three more on reel 4, the most eye-catching result in the set, and the WIN box stays empty because the middle row reads captain, octopus, boots, octopus, anchor.

What the balance did

At 0.01 a spin the balance ticks 14.44, 14.44, 14.43, 14.43. Barely moving, but also barely playing. Later shots show 82.73 and a return to 25 lines at 1.00, at which point every spin costs a hundred times more.

The meters over eight spins

The RANDOM JACKPOT in the centre climbs every time, from 9,681.88 to 9,977.48. MINOR and MAJOR behave differently: MINOR goes 567.52, 248.51, 407.14 and at one point 57.84, and MAJOR swings between about 734 and 1,947.

While the reels spin

Press SPIN and the button turns red and reads STOP. LINES, BET and AUTO PLAY grey out until the reels land, so you cannot change the stake mid-spin.

A sensible middle

Troubleshooting and questions

Does a 1-line bet qualify for the jackpots?

The screen does not say. The meters keep running while you play 1 line, but no rule screen was captured, so check the in-game info page before assuming either way.

Why do the MINOR and MAJOR numbers jump around?

Across these eight shots the Random Jackpot only climbs, while MINOR and MAJOR rise and fall. That suggests they reset when someone hits them, but the game does not explain it on screen.
