God of Storm (LPE88): the daytime reels, portrait mode and setting a small bet

How God of Storm on LPE88 looks held upright versus sideways, where the bet and Turbo controls sit, and how far a small balance goes at one sen a spin.

This site has two LPE88 pages for God of Storm, and both show the same Playtech title, Age of the Gods: God of Storms. This page covers the normal daytime game and the controls you need to set it up. The multiplier stage has its own page.

Upright: everything on one screen

Hold the phone upright and the game rearranges itself. The GOD OF STORMS title and the four jackpot boxes sit at the top, the reels shrink to a narrow strip in the middle, and a sunset over a red-domed tower fills the rest. Below the reels are three controls in a row: a round coin-stack button marked minus and plus, the big HOLD FOR AUTOPLAY spin button, and a small slider labelled TURBO.

Under those, the text strip reads LINES, LINE BET and TOTAL BET, with YOUR BALANCE centred at the bottom (RM50.00 when this screenshot was taken). This is the easiest view for changing the bet, because the coin-stack button is out in the open.

Sideways: bigger reels

Turn the phone and the reels take up almost the whole screen. The jackpot boxes squeeze into the corners of the title bar, the spin button moves to the right edge, and a grey arrow tab appears on the left for the side panel. Balance, lines and bets drop to one line of small text along the bottom.

What is on the stone reels

The reels are carved stone slabs. Low symbols are A, K, Q, J and 10 in bronze lettering. The pictures are a red-figure Greek urn, a blue coin with a coiled sea serpent, a red Spartan soldier, a purple-hooded archer drawing a bow and a woman warrior in green. A sailing ship with grey sails appears as one tall image covering a full reel, inside a gold bracket.

A small-budget session

With 1 line at RM0.01, every spin costs one sen, and the balance moved from RM50.00 to RM49.98 over the spins in these screenshots. At that stake you will not see much come back, since only one line can pay. A better test of the game is more lines at the same line bet: TOTAL BET rises line for line, so set it to a figure you are comfortable losing a hundred times over. Keep TURBO off while you learn what the symbols look like on a win.

The original Age of the Gods on LPE88 uses the older desktop-style panel if you prefer big labelled buttons. The LPE88 overview lists the rest of the lobby, and you can open an LPE88 account to try the portrait layout on your own phone.

Troubleshooting and questions

Is God of Storm the same game as Age of the Gods: God of Storm?

Yes, the title banner above the reels reads Age of the Gods: God of Storms on both pages. The companion page covers the night-time multiplier stage; this one covers the normal reels and controls.

Should I play it upright or sideways?

Sideways gives the reels most of the screen. Upright shrinks them to a strip but puts the bet and Turbo controls in plain sight, which is handier while you set up.
